1. Q) Can our company take exclusive use of the Delawana Inn Conference Centre? |
| A) Groups taking a minimum 110 Rooms guarantee exclusivity of resort. |
2. Q) What is the Delawana's smoking policy? |
| A) Delawana Inn Conference Centre is a non-smoking facility. Bylaw enforced by the District of Muskoka. |
3. Q) How many people will I be working with when planning an event at the Delawana Inn Conference Centre? |
| A) All planning services, assistance and contact from proposal stages right through to billing will be done through Lisa Lauder our Sales & Marketing Manager. Lisa will be planning and facilitating all aspects of your event. |
4. Q) Is there any audio visual included in my conference package? |
| A) Yes, standard audio visual is supplied free of charge from the Delawana Inn Conference Centre. This includes items such as flip charts, markers, screens, overhead projectors, television, vcr, whiteboards, easels, pads and pens. For any extensive audio visual requirements we would be happy to recommend an audio visual supplier familiar with the Delawana Inn Conference Centre. |
5. Q) Does the Delawana Inn Conference Centre have Internet access?  |
| A) The main lodge at the Delawana Inn Conference Centre offers complimentary high speed wireless connections in all areas and meeting rooms. Accommodation room’s offer dial up capabilities and are charged accordingly to the individual. |
6. Q) What kind of meals can my company expect during our stay? |
| A) All meal requirements are flexible. We offer the opportunity to work directly with Delawana Inn Conference Centre Executive Chef to create custom menus (within package pricing or up charged) to offer creative and intriguing options for all meals. Traditionally, breakfasts consist of full buffet options, hot and cold. Lunches, due to meeting schedules are traditionally buffets as well – including a BBQ option. Dinners are special and should be treated as such. Many options are available including buffet, banquet, BBQ, themes, a la carte. MEALS ARE NOT SERVED IN THE SAME ROOM AS YOUR MEETING. SEPARATE DINING FACILITIES ARE PROVIDED. |
7. Q) Can our company have a private hospitality suite? |
| A) There are 5 VIP Homes on site that can be used for multi-purposes including private hospitality suites. They are fully equipped homes with full kitchen amenities and living areas with televisions. Please inquire about costs if you are interested in this option. |
8. Q) What are some examples of fun options we could consider for our conference? |
| A) Off site tour of Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre and Saint Marie Among the Huron's, ½ day fishing charter on Georgian Bay, 1 hour Golf Workshop, Watercolour Painting Clinic, Guided Hike on Beausoliel Island, Beer/Wine or Scotch Tasting, Spa Workshops or Treatments, Chef Demonstrations, Guided Canoe Excursions, Offsite Excursion to Casino Rama. Sunset Jazz Dessert Cruise, Disco Night, Hawaiian Luau at the Beach with Bonfire and Entertainment, Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre, Second City or Yuk Yuk’s Comedy Evening, Casino Night. These are simply suggestions. We would be happy to create a custom program for the evenings based on your conference theme. |
9. Q) What is check-in and check-out time? |
| A) Check in time is 4:00pm. A check out time of 11:00am is standard. Naturally we will do everything to accommodate your requests outside of these time perimeters. |
10. Q) What recreational activities are included in the meeting package at no charge? |
| A) On-site golfing, pontoon boat cruises, heated outdoor pool, island mountain biking & hiking, exercise facilities, shuffleboard, racquetball, horseshoes, basketball, beach volleyball, paddle boats, canoes, kayaks, mini golf, tennis. |
11. Q) What recreational activities are at an additional charge? |
| A) Fishing boat rentals, jet ski adventures, Spa services and products, facilitated team building programs. |
12. Q) Does the Delawana Inn Conference Centre have a spa on-site? |
| A) The Wanakita Wellness Spa is rated as one of the best spa's in Canada. It is located on site and offers conferences many options on a group or individual basis. A full service European Spa is located on site. Products and services are an additional cost. |
13. Q) Is billing flexible? |
| A) The Delawana Inn is pleased to offer billing options that suite your needs. |
14. Q) Is there additional charges for parking on-site? |
| A) All parking is available onsite at each room and is at NO CHARGE. This includes coach parking. |
